On Feb. 14, 2019, Denise (Dee) went to be with the Lord.

Denise was born on April 17, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Iowa and went to Iowa State University where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree. She loved being a part of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) for many years and was able to travel and meet so many people from around the world.

When she wasn’t busy designing kitchens and baths, Dee was home cross-stitching for many of her friends and family. It was one of her favorite hobbies. Another favorite pastime was working on jigsaw puzzles with family. She also loved her Iowa State Cyclones and could never have enough Cyclones items.

Denise was a very devoted member of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, and she always loved doing things for other people, no matter what it was. She loved her family very much, and always loved being around them. She could never get enough family time. She and her husband Eric Dick have two daughters.

She is survived by her husband Eric, daughters Allison and Erin, parents Don and Dorothy Amis, brothers Doug (Linda) Amis and Dan Amis, and sister Debbie Amis.

Visitation will be held at Metrocrest Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, 4141 International Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007.
