Stephen K. Delphey - Oaklyn, NJ

Stephen K. Delphey, age 68 years, passed away on Nov. 21, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Delphey, née Jensen, of Oaklyn, NJ; devoted father of Timothy (Rosalie), Adam, and Benjamin (Jessica); cherished son of Ruth Delphey, née Kennedy, and the late Philander Delphey; loving brother of Nancy Mann (Thomas); and adoring grandfather of Jacob Delphey.

Steve graduated from Lower Merion High School, where as a senior he was a member of the state champion lacrosse team. He then graduated from Eastern Baptist College and Eastern Baptist Seminary, during which time he served as a volunteer firefighter at Penn Wynn/Overbrook Hills Fire Company. He began his career as a pastor, serving at three different churches over eight years. Steve then started his career at UPS where he worked for 27 years. He volunteered in various ministries at church. Fishing and spending time in Ocean City, NJ, were some of his favorite things to do. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies. He also loved to read, with some of his favorites being Sherlock Holmes and American history.

The visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106, with the funeral service afterward at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Colestown Cemetery, 100 N. Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
